Achievements

Sam’s achievements make him the only qualified candidate to lead Prince George’s County into the future as the next County Executive:

• Elected Chairman of the County Council twice.
• Served three terms as Chairman of the Council’s Planning, Zoning and Economic Development (PZED) Committee, thereby gaining knowledge about all facets of zoning and land use.
• Served as Chairman of the Transportation, Housing and the Environment (THE) Committee and served as a member of every standing Council Committee.
• Served in leadership positions in the Council’s budget review and approval process, developing in-depth knowledge of all county departments and agencies.
• As Council Chairman, was a leading member of the County’s visiting presentation team to bond rating houses in New York resulting, for the first time in the County’s history, in a Triple A Bond rating.
