Twice elected as Chair of the County Council, Samuel H. Dean has long been recognized for his strong leadership ability. As Council Chair he also chaired the WSSC Leadership Liaison and the Council’s Rules and General Assembly Committee.
His current leadership appointments include: Chair, Council Committee on Planning, Zoning and Economic Development, Member, Council Committee on Transportation, Housing and the Environment, Member of the Council’s Budget Process Committee, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Prince George’s Community College Foundation.
He also has served three terms each as Liaison to the Board of Education, and on the Board of Directors of the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation.
