A Record of Legislative Achievement
Samuel H.Dean is one of the most effective leaders in Prince George’s County. He has introduced 153 pieces of legislation and succeeded in passage of 133 pieces to improve the lives of county residents.
Highlights include:
- Passed an amendment to require disclosure in real estate contracts about the proximity of airports.
- Set up a Common Ownership Communities Program for training, education and alternative dispute resolution services for governing bodies, owners and residents.
- Passed an ordinance that requires rubble fill special exemptions to demonstrate they are necessary for the projected growth of the county. Another campaign promise fulfilled.
- Passed a Resolution to assist in monitoring how Washington Gas addresses gas leak problems.
