Samuel H. Dean is passionate about his community and has a long history of public service to Prince George’s County. He knows that service is the rent we pay for our time here on earth.
He has pushed for more and better schools, improved county college opportunities and, most recently through the County Council has acted on his concern about the impact of High School Assessment Exams and established a Blue Ribbon Committee to address this concern.
Samuel established the national award-winning Community Leadership Institute, a Center of Excellence to empower community stakeholders. Because Samuel has been both a civic and a homeowners’ association president, he knows the value and impact of citizen participation.
He led a bi-county effort to convert the Marlboro Meadows 20+ year old costly water system to the less expensive WSSC water system. This conversion fulfilled a campaign promise.
